Irma Thomas is The 'Soul Queen of New Orleans' and proves it on this track from Chess Records. Recorded in Muscle Shoals with Rick Hall in 1967. Dee Dee Warwick recorded this first, but I've always liked Irma's version. Well, all I can say is she gives it such emotion. That's why she's the Queen of the 'Big Easy'.
