It's a song about a kid who fakes his own death so he can start new somewhere without all the traps and baggage of where he was born and where his life is headed. The look of the video was inspired by the cover art for Bruce Springsteen's Nebraska and The Jesus & Mary Chain's Darklands. Both are beautiful records with beautiful cover art.
